I would have started this whole thing yesterda,y but my sweet uhbby took the camera to work. But, better late than never, right! First of all...please bear with me. My sweet little Alli bug spilled rootbeer on my laptop, so I have to go through and add all the "ys," "hs," and "ns." So, give me a break if I miss one here or there. Also, if you have any ideas how to get those keys working again, I'd LOVE you for it! Anywa,y here it is! My very first giveaway! All you have to do is enter. Nothing fancy. But, if you want extra entries here's how you can do it!<br /><br />1 entry for leaving a comment.<br />1 entry for following me (if you are already a follower, just say so!)<br />1 entry for telling me how much you would pay for a set of these clips:<br /><p>Group #1<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRZda4eUsLMENevGnOS1I1ieF_X_hFAw2ipvrAvzyTL9nX1YiPas7FCatfKxkC4tTWiedtZs_fq9nqnYJ1eyI30CzA-9DOPoJRIVBV9z3Z902YSfVFw0HNwMevT2uMrY5yA_wJyAMPyzPu/s1600-h/P5196907.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5337599225187095362" style="WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRZda4eUsLMENevGnOS1I1ieF_X_hFAw2ipvrAvzyTL9nX1YiPas7FCatfKxkC4tTWiedtZs_fq9nqnYJ1eyI30CzA-9DOPoJRIVBV9z3Z902YSfVFw0HNwMevT2uMrY5yA_wJyAMPyzPu/s400/P5196907.JPG" border="0" /></a> </p><p><br />Group #2</p><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgL9FdCwXBjtKMHCocJE5tmG9bj5Otk87XsLlQezP1KMlau7X7XkFootSXpAirW4ZyPKCal0aTKTDZx9GQM_XuATgrAYwmHbEYyRS4Spd_vl71ATjsBRBE8S0tcBEWhaknol5EX5Wb2PJOT/s1600-h/P5196906.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5337599222931368274" style="WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgL9FdCwXBjtKMHCocJE5tmG9bj5Otk87XsLlQezP1KMlau7X7XkFootSXpAirW4ZyPKCal0aTKTDZx9GQM_XuATgrAYwmHbEYyRS4Spd_vl71ATjsBRBE8S0tcBEWhaknol5EX5Wb2PJOT/s400/P5196906.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /></p><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />I am in the process of starting up an etsy shop and I don't know what to charge for these cute little clips. She is so very talented! I recently started giving her piano lessons and I found out about her hat blog. So, I thought I'd share it with ya'll. Go to <a href="http://hatsbyash.blogspot.com/"><strong>Hats by Ash</strong></a> and check out her mad skills. She can make anything. She sells hats, headbands, scarves and some other fun stuff that is so adorable (or cool...for the guys/littleguys). So, head on over and show my sweet cuz some love and fall in love with her stuff! Just go <a href="http://hatsbyash.blogspot.com/"><strong>HERE</strong></a><strong>,</strong> trust me.Joannhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08642920818240777604noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125402084993190259.post-16451488349677166662009-03-11T08:40:00.005-06:002009-03-11T10:06:28.878-06:00NominatedAlright! I'm so super excited about this. I've been blogging for about a year and a half and am loving it! Well, "The Mom" over at <a href="http://babesinhairland.blogspot.com/">Babes in Hairland</a> has nominated me for "The Spreader of Love" award! I am completely honored because this lady is the stuff! I had the opportunity to meet her at a little shin-dig back in December and she is fantastic! And SHE nominated ME!!! I fell so loved, which I suppose is the point, right? So, my job is to find 6 more blogs that I love and "Spread the Love." So, here goes:<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPkwRB0cJsO6bxtqe-k5zHH6-UxCYC_tRBE-u08LXCmWio_9Hv_xWKWV7_cdCnM9pG1E7MQW3xLCRpxOStEvUpkM4F_4NiNiCEV1ROLuRWyBZKNGrjfjs2mvK07oxIM6XhXVIOOux2_ihL/s1600-h/Blog+Award#1.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5311940114248214018" style="WIDTH: 133px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 160px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPkwRB0cJsO6bxtqe-k5zHH6-UxCYC_tRBE-u08LXCmWio_9Hv_xWKWV7_cdCnM9pG1E7MQW3xLCRpxOStEvUpkM4F_4NiNiCEV1ROLuRWyBZKNGrjfjs2mvK07oxIM6XhXVIOOux2_ihL/s400/Blog+Award%231.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br />1. <a href="http://cutegirlshairstyles.blogspot.com/">Adopt a 'Do Cute Girl Hairstyles </a>- This sweet mom started a great hair site that I love. But, as if that wasn't enough, she also posts a lot about adoption and an agency called Heart to Heart. I've never met her, but can only imagine she's a gem!<br /><br />2. <a href="http://thenaulutribe.blogspot.com/">The Naulu Tribe </a>- This mama has it all...including a whole crew of beautiful kids, including 5 girls who's hair she does every day. Incredible! She had a hair blog a while ago, but took it down after some hair blog drama. But, like many others, I'm waiting (not so patiently, mind you) for her to start it up again.<br /><br />3. <a href="http://cutiepiehaircreations.blogspot.com/">Cutie Pie Hair Creations</a> - Again, I had the great pleasure of meeting this mom-of-six back in December. She is great! She does hair and makes bows and still manages to keep a six pack (wink wink). Check her out and show her some love!<br /><br />4. <a href="http://leslieandaaron.blogspot.com/">Leslie</a> - This is one of my greatest friends in the whole world. I look up to her so so much. She lost her husband in November of 2007 and has been so strong (even though sometimes she won't believe that). She has such a way with words that I enjoy reading every word of her posts.<br /><br />5. <a href="http://pureandsimplebeauty.blogspot.com/">Pure and Simple Beauty</a> - This is actually a photo blog by my friends, Leslie. Am I allowed to nominate her twice? Well, if anyone deserves it, she does. Take a look at her amazing pictures and fall in love with their beauty!<br /><br />6. <a href="http://hair4myprincess.blogspot.com/">The Story of a Princess and Her Hair </a>- This woman is AMAZING when it comes to hair. She may have already been nominated (not sure), but I love her ideas. And she is always doing great giveaways. In fact, there's one going on right now. Go check it out!<br /><br />Well, that was fun. If you were nominated, try to "Spread the Love" by doing the same as me. Congratualtions to all of those I love!Joannhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08642920818240777604noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125402084993190259.post-67946011322086810272009-03-10T18:46:00.002-06:002009-03-10T18:49:55.071-06:00Fantastic Giveaway!Okay ladies (and guys, I guess) here's an unbelievable giveaway that you need to check out! $20 gift certificate to <a href="http://flowerzinherhair.com/">Flowerz in Her Hair</a>. Flowerz in Her Hair has EVERYTHING you need for a little girl...bows, flowers, bracelets, binky clips etc. etc. etc! So, hurry on over and good luck!Joannhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08642920818240777604noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125402084993190259.post-83501200501141208952009-02-04T14:54:00.005-07:002009-02-04T15:20:59.455-07:00Double HeartsThere are a ton of cute Valentine/Heart 'dos going around right now, so I thought I'd do my part. Now, I haven't searched long and hard, but this may have been done somewhere else. I kind of took <a href="http://jackienkassiesdos.blogspot.com/2009/01/wimpy-hair-hearts-4.html">THIS</a> idea from Jamie at <a href="http://jackienkassiesdos.blogspot.com/">Jackie and Kassies Sweet Hairdos</a> and did my own variation. So, here goes!<br /><br />Start by making two pony tails. I like to start my part on the side then jig over to the middle. I think side parts are more flattering...but maybe that's just me :)<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAm4R_-WHCKMhQpSamA0BJPRrrpRjxI_w_MeUnAyLQ33XNd5w1RV-xScl_tvXwNpWyLYaUwAB_RpXolyviV5yTD6NizLAAUmZv_mWJas0_FQ9HYxHcHsPneaf-sbGG7Ue1eGw0MnEUfEtw/s1600-h/P2046413.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5299064168282470114" style="WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiAm4R_-WHCKMhQpSamA0BJPRrrpRjxI_w_MeUnAyLQ33XNd5w1RV-xScl_tvXwNpWyLYaUwAB_RpXolyviV5yTD6NizLAAUmZv_mWJas0_FQ9HYxHcHsPneaf-sbGG7Ue1eGw0MnEUfEtw/s400/P2046413.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Split each pony into two sections and braid them both.<br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvLNJlzQlq-9dQ3PYwS7tRHc06edolOrdnIdETeasGvrHUw_oI6HytLhUYieT-uZzwJytIWwOX2rAqbMRae4eut3LbMPBqismsGa88MdQ04IZAM_pz5AhYUg4WpcxiZLkWbQKfliT7ksRY/s1600-h/P2046414.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5299064168320755938" style="WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvLNJlzQlq-9dQ3PYwS7tRHc06edolOrdnIdETeasGvrHUw_oI6HytLhUYieT-uZzwJytIWwOX2rAqbMRae4eut3LbMPBqismsGa88MdQ04IZAM_pz5AhYUg4WpcxiZLkWbQKfliT7ksRY/s400/P2046414.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /></div><div>Now, take a bobby pin and slide it through a section of the braid where the top of the bump will be. Then, push the bobby pin into the hair above the elastic taking care hide it as much as possible. Do this for both sides of the heart.</div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipt0CTmV2SWgk78wbYRGSK9yWUiCfd6xO4JLA-LCp8GU5rh9God0SGscO9W7rC4uaGpyxVZjQgT4EPX9j38LxP_3bsMTab6WPqGQ9N1565Qt7XCHL4NhQ-AQ-2cG4h4XSmQkqxXBh_GZs_/s1600-h/P2046417.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5299064170048898802" style="WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEipt0CTmV2SWgk78wbYRGSK9yWUiCfd6xO4JLA-LCp8GU5rh9God0SGscO9W7rC4uaGpyxVZjQgT4EPX9j38LxP_3bsMTab6WPqGQ9N1565Qt7XCHL4NhQ-AQ-2cG4h4XSmQkqxXBh_GZs_/s400/P2046417.JPG" border="0" /></a> </div><div><br />Now, take a tiny clippy and bring the two braid ends together to form the point of the heart. As you can see from this picture, I braided down a little too far and you can see my elastics under the clippy. The goal is to hide the elastics with the little clippy. Then, you can curl the leftover hair and be done!</div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiASZfUXlBGQ5oLlWNlsdYZH6Aa_guIdU3quh_7rW-gFC2Lts0zwxmIsRxY-Qmlav9fLtC_vaHEwe7LeGLcIVkmQ6M5iFimMUZm5VSCD_naZiOrr9pBGoWRkbSgsT985q0Z5k089gzHDnlK/s1600-h/P2046419.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5299064173395143986" style="WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiASZfUXlBGQ5oLlWNlsdYZH6Aa_guIdU3quh_7rW-gFC2Lts0zwxmIsRxY-Qmlav9fLtC_vaHEwe7LeGLcIVkmQ6M5iFimMUZm5VSCD_naZiOrr9pBGoWRkbSgsT985q0Z5k089gzHDnlK/s400/P2046419.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /></div><div>Here's a shot of both hearts. I KNOW!!! It's super tiny, but I had to try. For those of you that have baby girls with stick straight hair, try leaving the tip of the piggy in the elastic until it dries. You may just end up with a little curl! If you can't tell, I am super pumped!<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjme155WpevpG3vrOln1YkUc_-4f5HD9SABAlViXlnmrrfIsbq7RyFxV8prAe-kf3geDWoTb-wZHEp0vpvkIhdURIIQyN8yQJZ8PuEaKJatwo6fSdlJYLLBHyRyu-GlpIsFfU1YCawUQNjs/s1600-h/P1036356.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287183985606411986" style="WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjme155WpevpG3vrOln1YkUc_-4f5HD9SABAlViXlnmrrfIsbq7RyFxV8prAe-kf3geDWoTb-wZHEp0vpvkIhdURIIQyN8yQJZ8PuEaKJatwo6fSdlJYLLBHyRyu-GlpIsFfU1YCawUQNjs/s400/P1036356.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />Side view :)<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNFm2FfUSYBCqePAuXvxDc7SlY7WBB6RASfZT2RPYmzFwvdJDR9WCL01JOSVLq9P7J89WILXDaw1riToGy2hnPEmswGc9uOsp6wIAWwH_0h7bHoyj9TptsGhd1jptPJap9FrH4mZKfTBAr/s1600-h/P1036353.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287183984624581730" style="WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNFm2FfUSYBCqePAuXvxDc7SlY7WBB6RASfZT2RPYmzFwvdJDR9WCL01JOSVLq9P7J89WILXDaw1riToGy2hnPEmswGc9uOsp6wIAWwH_0h7bHoyj9TptsGhd1jptPJap9FrH4mZKfTBAr/s400/P1036353.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />Front view :)Joannhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08642920818240777604noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125402084993190259.post-85418161607235758412008-12-31T13:15:00.005-07:002008-12-31T13:36:13.376-07:00Shrek Ears and a Little BonusOkay, ladies. I feel a little guilty. I have had these pics for quite some time, but with all the Christmas sewing and preparation, I haven't posted them. I did some Shrek buns one day and that night, when I took them out to get Al in the tub, I had a cute surprise. I was only sad that I had to wash out that surprise. But, we have done this a couple of times since and it always turns out cute!<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgasz5rupZyw1y2N1pDjoUpuqluWQ-uZCeTyQ7Feyxcr2q0usaFbmTF2XNir__BhHTLaRI_3fJ1Q8jbJfBTvKgd_KxvFzAkAOxt1Et1KhlzF34pdsDuH5HDO4-oM3UK8v_AfWILNrjt3_0L/s1600-h/PC035934.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5286051966065126210" style="WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgasz5rupZyw1y2N1pDjoUpuqluWQ-uZCeTyQ7Feyxcr2q0usaFbmTF2XNir__BhHTLaRI_3fJ1Q8jbJfBTvKgd_KxvFzAkAOxt1Et1KhlzF34pdsDuH5HDO4-oM3UK8v_AfWILNrjt3_0L/s400/PC035934.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />First, start by parting the hair. I have found that it works better with only half of the hair pulled up. So, I hope that Jenn from <a href="http://girlydohairstyles.blogspot.com/">Girly Do's </a>is okay with me doing a little more in depth tutorial on this "Doubly Fancy Schmancy" 'do. Here is a <a href="http://girlydohairstyles.blogspot.com/2008/09/wowthat-is-fancy.html">link</a> to her original "Fancy" hairstyle. I have to tell you all that this woman is AMAZING when it comes to ideas for hairstyles. She has so many great ideas and she is very good at explaining things. And, her pictures are incredible. You would never know that my hubby does photography because I am not talented in that aspect. Only this time, you weave the strands over and under the piggies that are already attatched. To weave, just go over the first strand, under the second and over the third. Then, with your second strand, go under, over, under. With the third strand, go over, under, over. I think a Topsy-Tail would work wonders to weave with, but since I don't own one, I just use my fingers and my comb. So, front 1 to middle 4. Front 2 to middle 5. And front 3 to middle 6.</p><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVXN6PsFuou6bhd_A4NHf_bB-U9b_hyGqgynLNDSqh_egAH5z67Vuid3ZYcgoZiqLrbVETwjU6vtKuDfGcac6lbjHAo2yvRuTUzMrq-qljACPQdQzbdWbMj4_jYwXIwxuLQ4a4nrs_Cmfg/s1600-h/PB135931.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5275625923883407634" style="WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjVXN6PsFuou6bhd_A4NHf_bB-U9b_hyGqgynLNDSqh_egAH5z67Vuid3ZYcgoZiqLrbVETwjU6vtKuDfGcac6lbjHAo2yvRuTUzMrq-qljACPQdQzbdWbMj4_jYwXIwxuLQ4a4nrs_Cmfg/s400/PB135931.JPG" border="0" /></a> </div><div>Again, follow with the bottom. Now, I am NOT good at messy buns. If anyone has a sure-fire way to get a good messy bun every time, I would love you for sharing. I just scrunch up the hair into a ball and put a tiny elastic around the base of it, then spread it out until it looks good.</div><div> </div><div>This hair-do should take a long time; about half an hour. I didn't have that much time once I got started because Al just didn't want to sit still for pictures. So, there are lots of flyaways, too. But, hopefully you get the idea. If anyone has suggestions to help with flyaways, I would love you for that one, too! Good luck and let me know how it works out!<br /></div>Joannhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08642920818240777604noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125402084993190259.post-48975148677418269912008-11-12T15:36:00.007-07:002008-11-13T09:50:49.145-07:005 French Twists to Messy BunsFor lack of a better name, I called this what it is: "5 French Twists to Messy Buns." However, it is 5 french twists on each side. So, are you ready to begin?<br /><br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifH98HF0i98vvZRbQ9FQrzLhUZY3u96nAUs0MH5KZRn6fqrdoe2CHglTR3PocH-s0w51VMJKUGaN0Vvyx8eMOMttasM7SS6xGgyeKuxKIlRkw8YlHDN950R00kZX-nP2uinHMWQeyrX_fw/s1600-h/PB125913.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5267904648507558418" style="WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEifH98HF0i98vvZRbQ9FQrzLhUZY3u96nAUs0MH5KZRn6fqrdoe2CHglTR3PocH-s0w51VMJKUGaN0Vvyx8eMOMttasM7SS6xGgyeKuxKIlRkw8YlHDN950R00kZX-nP2uinHMWQeyrX_fw/s400/PB125913.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />Start by parting the hair down the middle. I actually start my part on the side, then cut in to the middle about halfway back. I like side parts better, so kill me! Secure one half of the hair with a temporary elastic. Next, you are going to separate the first side into your five sections, but combine the top two and the bottom two sections just to hold them out of the way. You want to start in the middle to get the placement of your bun right.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJHTeHq17PHTgJEmY4S42dTVHv8QE1FWv-g_ZHR2SQ7DSE9Y6y3q_Q9mb1ysGy-0TjKe24gpKLXmpmfFOs9cx9AVBcz5QKZjC5zf_vjlMzA1gZN7VC2E2ZtQs8MC9i0P5IBO7Cgc-us22G/s1600-h/PB125914.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5267904662325828258" style="WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 300px" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJHTeHq17PHTgJEmY4S42dTVHv8QE1FWv-g_ZHR2SQ7DSE9Y6y3q_Q9mb1ysGy-0TjKe24gpKLXmpmfFOs9cx9AVBcz5QKZjC5zf_vjlMzA1gZN7VC2E2ZtQs8MC9i0P5IBO7Cgc-us22G/s400/PB125914.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />French twist the middle section, rolling to the back, and stop where you want your messy bun. It's a great one for those little ones with short hair, I think. Just start by separating out a ponytail with the outer edges left down. Secure that hair up and out of the way. I started with a side part and french twisted down to the nape of her neck, securing the first french twist with a rubber band. I followed suit with the other side and combined the two french twists under the ponytail. I curled and backcombed and was done. Quick and easy, right! So, when I saw <a href="http://cute2tryhairdos.blogspot.com/2008/10/elastic-head-band.html">THIS</a>, I was so excited to try it out! I just made a side part and did small sections of hair down the side of her head to the back. I joined both sides of her hair together at the nape of her neck with one elastic. But, I am thinking to distribute the hair more evenly, I would keep the two ending piggies separate in the back. So, after I got the headband done, I curled. Then, I curled. After that, I curled some more. You get the idea. It turned out pretty big and poofy, but some days are good for that right? To see what curling iron I used go <a href="http://pigsandponies.blogspot.com/2008/10/swept-up-knots-and-lots-of-curls.html">HERE</a>.<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgs09tZQ-8D_uAfd8ui9o1-aIShmFJ5EHb_KAjDQKPg6u2iTixIURAyzYfs35Fan8c-pB4Vtkg3wVTrRNwXjWUyT34va96ABa7Jr1rQwMpv-5iUnnsUoAwlbqQQSHjYc8Rkrfn6Vds5lf3M/s1600-h/PA155703.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5257474666620682914" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgs09tZQ-8D_uAfd8ui9o1-aIShmFJ5EHb_KAjDQKPg6u2iTixIURAyzYfs35Fan8c-pB4Vtkg3wVTrRNwXjWUyT34va96ABa7Jr1rQwMpv-5iUnnsUoAwlbqQQSHjYc8Rkrfn6Vds5lf3M/s400/PA155703.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />Side view<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_aUcnaRWmZ5CYtNbcs0qcJMRcBE4RjFz7TVVsuzfC5cXFqXxxBLnJWR8rNuOPIJcEoYRWpzrI876zGOfvJQQ-kIEP0VFBnNB0kGUZ2sEodI1jJOazGRvza191EDAjKxxzoPe9CABhT_tu/s1600-h/PA155701.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5257474668508870530" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_aUcnaRWmZ5CYtNbcs0qcJMRcBE4RjFz7TVVsuzfC5cXFqXxxBLnJWR8rNuOPIJcEoYRWpzrI876zGOfvJQQ-kIEP0VFBnNB0kGUZ2sEodI1jJOazGRvza191EDAjKxxzoPe9CABhT_tu/s400/PA155701.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />Front view<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJo2aRmeP5jlGrh_sIChVxefEKjYxY_9eiUACLEWfDRxsenk_AWTa4Uz_X_CR-W7QxQ2-O_U1Kp855R4R7MHDrY4fNmZ4r6jZicN8FEHRzMvxNwIqoNGJw391Q40_EryTypthqOmYmJ0l_/s1600-h/PA155702.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5257474669193769042" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJo2aRmeP5jlGrh_sIChVxefEKjYxY_9eiUACLEWfDRxsenk_AWTa4Uz_X_CR-W7QxQ2-O_U1Kp855R4R7MHDrY4fNmZ4r6jZicN8FEHRzMvxNwIqoNGJw391Q40_EryTypthqOmYmJ0l_/s400/PA155702.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />Back view<br /><br />P.S. Today, I had time while Marianne was at school to do Allison's hair super fancy. She is wearing a skirt to school today, so I figured this 'do wouldn't be <em>too</em> over the top for school. So this is what you get!<br /><br /><span style="font-size:130%;">Five Corkscrews to a Corkcrew Bun</span><br /><br />This is a "twist" on <a href="http://pigsandponies.blogspot.com/2008/08/mariannes-braids-and-pony.html">THIS</a> 'do. Really easy, but a little time consuming. Just separate out five little sections and twist them, finishing them off to the end with an elastic so they hold. Then, bring them together into one big pony in the back. Leave the small corkscrews in and do one BIG corkscrew on that pony. Tie it into a knot and leave the end poking out. I think it looks pretty cute and it's just another way to use a corkscrew!<br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3e46JN9rytEgUj8E0bJ7AqK4O-q43xoO5z7N7IZsttugx-ta52O9BOOsfM1TStEotyCrWzQmT182t6-R-Cre_RGMfaFC2fDZJO9hZVaJvCe07Y8Cv8Q9JGus39FzARVpvHVxEE1m5gkJ6/s1600-h/PA045684.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5253380306761300338" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3e46JN9rytEgUj8E0bJ7AqK4O-q43xoO5z7N7IZsttugx-ta52O9BOOsfM1TStEotyCrWzQmT182t6-R-Cre_RGMfaFC2fDZJO9hZVaJvCe07Y8Cv8Q9JGus39FzARVpvHVxEE1m5gkJ6/s400/PA045684.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />Back view<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKCVWSWnnpXgLOI1saVVJ3vG8oiA3t-kDvd9uQUNGBEQ2TzTRnLQbMAlQ2nfbyvieAulg-rzcg7gsJaYL4QAnLqtArfPpZeg1X88uCOcSPL8x25lPUhM2EW5Ja8oBmGXPZF26jH4tQ58gN/s1600-h/PA045683.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5253380315208404706" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKCVWSWnnpXgLOI1saVVJ3vG8oiA3t-kDvd9uQUNGBEQ2TzTRnLQbMAlQ2nfbyvieAulg-rzcg7gsJaYL4QAnLqtArfPpZeg1X88uCOcSPL8x25lPUhM2EW5Ja8oBmGXPZF26jH4tQ58gN/s400/PA045683.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />Side view<br /><br /><span style="font-size:130%;">Faux French Twist</span><br /><br />Easy style using the corkscrew braid. Just start by parting the hair into two side sections. Start at the front of one side of the head and make a piggy. Corkscrew that and finish it with a temporary elastic. Part out another section and add the corkscrew to it with an elastic. Remove the first elastic. continue doing thing until you get to the last section of hair, but leave that bottom section undone until you do the other side. Once you have both sides corkscrewed, bring them together with the last, bottom, section of hair and secure with an elastic. Take out the temporary elastics and corkscrew the big pony. You can finish it how you want. I just did a <a href="http://girlydos.blogspot.com/2008/08/loopy-pigs.html">LOOPY BUN</a>. But, I think if she had enough hair, a knot would look better. Have fun!<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjp7-YB_P_us2V-x1xuzIdNe9Avm5zZJJuvXpzDr1HdqHQR2KBHoIt08wHtrpk9UazybGYpd5oN-MhmwtbI32Z26UIKflrxgmAYYcMVI7xqtc_mp4-Oxq6vbGetdvlB1hvlyrKCNFXZ-1hp/s1600-h/PA045685.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5253380318153886530" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjp7-YB_P_us2V-x1xuzIdNe9Avm5zZJJuvXpzDr1HdqHQR2KBHoIt08wHtrpk9UazybGYpd5oN-MhmwtbI32Z26UIKflrxgmAYYcMVI7xqtc_mp4-Oxq6vbGetdvlB1hvlyrKCNFXZ-1hp/s400/PA045685.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />Side view<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2jYzLP5e6hWLIWTLqu-o3-bpKd3Qez8OrWrPrikY0wCQBZc66Dt5QZBbuI9wnGznlNP3EnEJnbO_ui-YhCNWjLfKcJJzw1HHOopguUhUCoZDMlz1lkgAZmPIX8BrvGb7WEViz73xB0yPJ/s1600-h/PA045686.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5253380322547050098" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2jYzLP5e6hWLIWTLqu-o3-bpKd3Qez8OrWrPrikY0wCQBZc66Dt5QZBbuI9wnGznlNP3EnEJnbO_ui-YhCNWjLfKcJJzw1HHOopguUhUCoZDMlz1lkgAZmPIX8BrvGb7WEViz73xB0yPJ/s400/PA045686.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />Back viewJoannhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08642920818240777604noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125402084993190259.post-52188601302981309502008-10-01T19:31:00.003-06:002008-10-05T00:56:08.794-06:00Double French TwistI've done this style a few times and love it every time! I found it <a href="http://shedoeshair.blogspot.com/2008/06/twist-with-well-twist.html">HERE</a>. Just start by separate the hair into a top and bottom pony. <a href="http://shedoeshair.blogspot.com/2008/03/twist-tutorial.html">FRENCH TWIST</a> the bottom right, then the bottom left, meeting in the middle. Then, do the same for the top half of the hair. Add some cute bows or flowers and you're done. Sorry the pictures are not the greatest. This was right before I got her in the tub at the end of the day, so her hair is a little "fly-away-ie."<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOk9wEMYw0GY6ygnk9uOb532G3MY-qnJg8lQF4F_cGzS6WUNZ4XGqx6CSccBrLcM0TAN_3uwQCWA66PN72rXFZGZCZHGtjZFu2dWGxU1iuFVO9VZbIdO0oHb-kCoT7hfR-QaakjC1VfJ1R/s1600-h/PA015663.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5252363339226581794" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjOk9wEMYw0GY6ygnk9uOb532G3MY-qnJg8lQF4F_cGzS6WUNZ4XGqx6CSccBrLcM0TAN_3uwQCWA66PN72rXFZGZCZHGtjZFu2dWGxU1iuFVO9VZbIdO0oHb-kCoT7hfR-QaakjC1VfJ1R/s400/PA015663.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />Side view<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgT1pt8KKgo_j0dxY2qcfGGse1EEN_CSbEpn9tLFo6trM9qQVdU4Lt_-II5iefHAAW5UUqlsdwPuJbQVSbjgFaFot8HSz9NqWv2I13wIqLpy5iOfA-GhVgbTEovYcPKDdsae6FZca3BuDsh/s1600-h/PA015664.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5252363337257601858" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgT1pt8KKgo_j0dxY2qcfGGse1EEN_CSbEpn9tLFo6trM9qQVdU4Lt_-II5iefHAAW5UUqlsdwPuJbQVSbjgFaFot8HSz9NqWv2I13wIqLpy5iOfA-GhVgbTEovYcPKDdsae6FZca3BuDsh/s400/PA015664.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />Back viewJoannhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08642920818240777604noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125402084993190259.post-65744230478902795012008-10-01T10:35:00.004-06:002008-10-01T12:10:20.033-06:00Corkscrews Galore! We didn't have a lot of time to do hair this morning, so this is what I came up with. I think it actually turned out pretty cute. It was super easy and fast!<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjF9Ckb2AvWj4xUStCAOvkySDhl493oZN0idykDnCKET4rg74YJ0eW9dFmVHJDgrxWLolnqv_o3hVwnEHto4EnTs6-I2jFXhBdtoE6zP_CI9vxVjRIpNAZQ_zCSl-dcYlod2vV5I52XGq0s/s1600-h/PA015654.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5252225229411944802" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjF9Ckb2AvWj4xUStCAOvkySDhl493oZN0idykDnCKET4rg74YJ0eW9dFmVHJDgrxWLolnqv_o3hVwnEHto4EnTs6-I2jFXhBdtoE6zP_CI9vxVjRIpNAZQ_zCSl-dcYlod2vV5I52XGq0s/s400/PA015654.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />Start with a small piggy in the front. Twist it into a corkscrew as seen <a href="http://hair4myprincess.blogspot.com/2008/09/twist-braid-video.html">here</a>. Then, link it to the next section of hair. Separate that piggy into two corkscrews and take one to each side pony. Then, separate the side ponies into three corkscrews and you're finished. Like I said, super simple and it only took me about 10 minutes!<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOYvPeyq_JCagIcDgbEaCuf5pmMRWaP-0ZcWWOM3GzPOFX1yBBhpqkJEa7m1BV7WBjkuNonQ_6bXBr8C6aaUi-3neCftS6UXVc4oK2HbrpFBWS5lsRyeu9bAwzckSrF05eLQ1AasYVNVjk/s1600-h/PA015655.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5252225236774050866" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOYvPeyq_JCagIcDgbEaCuf5pmMRWaP-0ZcWWOM3GzPOFX1yBBhpqkJEa7m1BV7WBjkuNonQ_6bXBr8C6aaUi-3neCftS6UXVc4oK2HbrpFBWS5lsRyeu9bAwzckSrF05eLQ1AasYVNVjk/s400/PA015655.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />Side view<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFe_ECfj7mD7MOhQbtukqeE9hJqV9R91RuSqndy2L4c7v0JjPjTaTC3kJOvWjEPHn6ml3ySPTF2hup4pCOrCaeENU5qwXAFZ2RcyhA6TJTvWBm1U4IpUCwWFYLsdeaaffH0isS8wDEZQMD/s1600-h/PA015656.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5252225235505822162" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFe_ECfj7mD7MOhQbtukqeE9hJqV9R91RuSqndy2L4c7v0JjPjTaTC3kJOvWjEPHn6ml3ySPTF2hup4pCOrCaeENU5qwXAFZ2RcyhA6TJTvWBm1U4IpUCwWFYLsdeaaffH0isS8wDEZQMD/s400/PA015656.JPG" border="0" /></a><br />Front viewJoannhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08642920818240777604noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125402084993190259.post-85024135010869095832008-09-26T19:02:00.007-06:002008-09-28T00:17:28.160-06:00Flipped Piggies to Four Messy BunsOkay, so I saw the four messy buns somewhere, but where I thought it was...well, it wasn't. So, I am sorry to whoever came up with the four messy buns piled on top of her head, but if you happen upon my blog, let me know and I'll give you credit where it is due.<br /><br /><em>(Okay, so after searching and searching, I found </em><a href="http://shedoeshair.blogspot.com/2008/05/loop-de-loop.html"><em>this</em></a><em> site where I first saw these buns. Also, </em><a href="http://piggiesnponies.blogspot.com/2008/06/4-messy-buns.html"><em>this</em></a><em> that looks a little more like what I was after.)<br /></em><br />Anyway! So, for this one, I just separated the hair into four sections. I like a side part in the front, so I parted down the side and then cut over to the middle for the other sections. I hope this is making sense. So, after you get the four sections parted out, take the first section and do a small piggy and flip it so it heads toward where you will put the messy bun. Then, make the messy bun with the rest of that section. Put the elastic in as close to middle as possible, so when you are done, you get more of the one BIG messy bun look. Continue doing this with the other three sections. I think it looks pretty. I actually had one BIG flower in the middle of the four buns on my younger girly and I think I liked that better. Just didn't have a BIG flower that matched today's outift. Hope you like!<br /><br /><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmagi6dJ5COXQ4PiQKjaSLNeVgdhyphenhyphenaiQUAN2lKjP5ieHiae037FpS6GrwaMGMP8QBbLCJXahVAcdqlY6B3FF8dQQgjJgo7mss9ksiZ7Z7cA9feuL9w9UU-Pjx0GcoXn-V_MGrGjoyM6XAx/s1600-h/P9265649.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5250501844970243858" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmagi6dJ5COXQ4PiQKjaSLNeVgdhyphenhyphenaiQUAN2lKjP5ieHiae037FpS6GrwaMGMP8QBbLCJXahVAcdqlY6B3FF8dQQgjJgo7mss9ksiZ7Z7cA9feuL9w9UU-Pjx0GcoXn-V_MGrGjoyM6XAx/s400/P9265649.JPG" border="0" /></a> </p><p>Side view</p><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjBzd4BZNIvzVrsvQGrY8uD4Meoy_1kASCGp7bp1MoAHihQOHOMQp0avGykMiOawY2gOrZA2ONzuVg_3nsZiFAVGJycB06_8YS4_uQSfwL4RI5tTO3TIcN8-JGdFhkirPZ6Jsmg_5JTZZ7/s1600-h/P9265648.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5250501846440010130" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhjBzd4BZNIvzVrsvQGrY8uD4Meoy_1kASCGp7bp1MoAHihQOHOMQp0avGykMiOawY2gOrZA2ONzuVg_3nsZiFAVGJycB06_8YS4_uQSfwL4RI5tTO3TIcN8-JGdFhkirPZ6Jsmg_5JTZZ7/s400/P9265648.JPG" border="0" /></a> </p><p>Top back view</p><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgajH-YPhn6F8ytmPFDkMxl8NFFYGR9MIuz8vElYWfWgFjkd6Qb71R_EXpWbXzbX9yJjXun35jffwv944_LM8rLkHtBCBvUQb_ndc9wFxnA7bOTdc3Gs02yMNhS3sJZgHBf_GhTlD6OGMZL/s1600-h/P9265650.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5250501850773886914" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgajH-YPhn6F8ytmPFDkMxl8NFFYGR9MIuz8vElYWfWgFjkd6Qb71R_EXpWbXzbX9yJjXun35jffwv944_LM8rLkHtBCBvUQb_ndc9wFxnA7bOTdc3Gs02yMNhS3sJZgHBf_GhTlD6OGMZL/s400/P9265650.JPG" border="0" /></a> </p><p>Front view (weird-o)</p><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgN26NKtiiuPqcCygBMmvliKa5qWPvkBQjpOBTxE2BM142Fba05ckJk34OzU8FIDY1fUHnbbnDG7HNwN1BSbNBhyphenhyphenHqP4Z9S3IEiRdpI3BRUaffetWHBGqZrtwuLGaRnqHdIr2eaaIlh-rTS/s1600-h/P9265651.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5250501849984999458" style="CURSOR: hand" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgN26NKtiiuPqcCygBMmvliKa5qWPvkBQjpOBTxE2BM142Fba05ckJk34OzU8FIDY1fUHnbbnDG7HNwN1BSbNBhyphenhyphenHqP4Z9S3IEiRdpI3BRUaffetWHBGqZrtwuLGaRnqHdIr2eaaIlh-rTS/s400/P9265651.JPG" border="0" /></a> </p><p>Bottom back view </p><p></p><p>(p.s.
